The Mould Testing Technician training is the only nationally accredited course of its kind in Australia. It consists of 3 days of online training with an instructor followed by 12 weeks of self-directed online learning AND one day field trip (150 hours in total). Optional field trip available on the next day for an additional $300*. Most students enrol in the course before the workshop in order to give them extra time to get through the online course materials (official start date is the first day of the online class). The field trip is held in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast. Students are responsible for bringing their own full face respirator (P3) preferably one that has been fit tested, in order to participate in the field training. Class limit for field training is 12 participants.
Investment: $1695 includes one day field trip (or $1995* if attending two field days). Students enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Building Biology are required to attend both field days.
Assessments: There are 4 assessments: the first two assessments (questionnaire and checklist) are due within 4 weeks and the online quiz is due within 12 weeks of the zoom meeting. The report is due 6 weeks after attending the field trip.
NOTE: You must participate in the 3 day online zoom course BEFORE you are eligible to attend the field trip.
